The APC SMX Series Smart-UPS product family includes network-capable line-interactive UPS units and compatible external battery packs designed for servers, storage, networking and commercial applications. Units are rack/tower convertible and deliver pure sine wave output compatible with active power factor corrected servers and sensitive electronics. Remote monitoring and management are available via SmartConnect, Network Management Card or EcoStruxure IT; some models include a preinstalled Network Management Card while others support optional NMC installation. Key features across the family include Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) to correct voltage fluctuations, Green mode for improved operating efficiency, an intuitive LCD interface, predictive battery replacement information, Energy Meter with kWh monitoring, and an Emergency Power Off (EPO) switch. Extended runtime is achieved with compatible external battery packs (SMX48RMBP2U) that connect to SMX-series UPS units for scalable backup capacity.
