The StarTech.com Mini DisplayPort 1.2 cable provides a dependable M/M connection between Mini DisplayPort-enabled laptops and Mini DisplayPort-equipped monitors. It supports high resolutions up to 4K UHD (3840x2160) @60Hz with HBR2 bandwidth (21.6 Gbps), Multi-Stream Transport (MST) for daisy-chaining multiple monitors, and optional 8-channel audio with GTC timing support. Constructed with quality shielding (Al-Mylar foil with braid), gold-plated connectors, ABS connector shells and a durable PVC jacket/strain relief for improved signal integrity and durability. The cable is backward compatible with DisplayPort 1.1, supports HDCP/DPCP for protected content, and is backed by StarTech.com lifetime support/warranty. Important: this is a Mini DisplayPort cable (not a Thunderbolt cable) — it can connect Thunderbolt 2 ports to Mini DisplayPort displays but is not compatible with Thunderbolt peripherals that require the Thunderbolt protocol.
