This product family from StarTech.com provides PCIe NVMe adapter solutions for converting and connecting enterprise and consumer PCIe NVMe SSDs between M.2, U.2 and U.3 form factors and common SFF host interfaces. The adapters enable installation of M.2 NVMe SSDs into U.2/U.3 drive bays or allow U.2 NVMe drives to be used via M.2 PCIe x4 host interfaces, and include PCIe expansion card options with SFF connectors for systems without native U.2/U.3 support. Installation is OS-independent and requires no additional drivers or software; several models offer full- and low-profile brackets or mounting hardware for installation. These adapters support PCIe NVMe and are backward compatible with earlier PCIe versions; they are not compatible with SATA or SAS host controllers or SATA-based M.2 SSDs.
