This StarTech.com cable-style SATA to USB adapter connects a 2.5" SATA SSD or HDD directly to a computer USB port to enable quick access to drive data. It supports SATA I/II/III (up to 6 Gbps) and UASP for improved read/write performance and lower processor usage. Use it to add drive space, perform backups, create disk images, implement data recovery, transfer content between drives and hosts, and for drive cloning and migration. The adapter is USB-powered (no external power required), portable and plug-and-play so you can swap drives without installing them into an enclosure.
