Each cable supports 40 Gbps data transfer rates and up to 100W Power Delivery for charging, while providing DisplayPort 1.4a with DSC for 8K 60Hz or dual 4K 60Hz video. When used with compatible hosts and devices the cable can transfer files up to four times faster than standard USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) cables, and it enables daisy-chaining, peer-to-peer Thunderbolt networking and easy data migration between Thunderbolt systems.
