No drivers or software required. The passive adapter supports DP++ sources (DisplayPort++), including Thunderbolt 1 & 2 MacBooks, MacBook Air, Mac Mini, Microsoft Surface Pro 1-6, desktops and laptops with compatible ports. The cable is slim and flexible with the adapter chip integrated into the connector for tidy installs. It supports DVI-D (digital only) single-link connections at 1080p 60Hz and up to 4K 30Hz (depending on monitor HDMI clock rate) and features EDID pass-through and DVI screw locking to prevent accidental disconnection.
